Ingredients

  • 5-6 whole button mushrooms
  • ¼ cup of chopped onion
  • 1 reduced fat string cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • basil for garnish

Directions

  • Wash mushrooms to get any dirt off. Take stems off of the mushroom and chop the stems. Cut the string cheese into 5 or 6 pieces and stuff into the mushroom caps. Top mushrooms with the onion and chopped mushroom stems. Put mushrooms into a muffin tin. Bake at 400° for about 15 minutes... when they are done the onions should be cooked through and the mushrooms should release their moisture. Serve and enjoy!
