Spicy and sweet in one fizzy glass, this fermented beverage keeps your stomach happy & your tastebuds even happier!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider (or unfiltered apple juice)
  • 1 apple, grated (or ½ cup applesauce)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (from a 1 inch piece)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 14 cups kombucha

Directions

  • Add the apple cider, grated apple, grated ginger, and apple stick to a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 25 to 35 minutes until the mixture reduces by half.
  • Stir in maple syrup and remove from heat.
  • Let cool completely before transferring the mixture to freshly brewed kombucha.
  • Prepare: 10 mins
