    • 4 Jonagold apples

    • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
    • 1 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1 Nutmeg, grated
    • 7 tbsp Whole wheat flour

    • 1/4 2 sheets puff pastry

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, sugar, walnuts, flour and brown sugar. Add the apples and toss until coated.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 6 squares.
  • Spoon apple mixture into center of each square and fold diagonally in half. Press edges to seal, folding them over if necessary. Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Top with ice cream, if desired! (Not pictured.)
