Baked Overnight Lemon French Toast

Ingredients

• 5-6 thick slices French bread
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup milk
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• zest and juice from 2 lemons

Directions

• Lightly grease a 9x13 pan and place bread slices in a single layer (you can squish them a little if need be).
• In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, zest and juice. Pour evenly over bread slices in pan (be careful not to leave too many dry sections). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.
• Remove plastic wrap and bake at 350 degrees F for 40-50 minutes, until golden brown and centers are set. Serve with whipped cream and fresh berries if desired.
