Cheesy Taco Beer Dip with Taco Seasoning From Scratch

  • 1 lb Ground beef

• Produce

  • 1/2 tsp Garlic, granulated
  • 1/2 tsp Onion, granulated
  • 1 tsp Oregano

• Condiments

  • 1/3 jar Salsa

• Baking & Spices

  • 2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Paprika, smoked
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Taco seasoning

• Nuts & Seeds

  • 1 tbsp Cumin

• Dairy

  • 2 cups Cheese
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Milk

• Beer, Wine & Liquor

  • 1/2 can Light beer

Directions

• On medium heat in a cast iron skillet add ground beef and taco seasoning. A little EVOO may be needed-or a non-stick pan can be used.
• Cook until no longer pink (depending on the fat content you may need to drain).
• Use beer to de-glaze the pan. Let alcohol cook out. Add salsa. Cook for 2-3 additional minutes.
• In a separate saucepan: On medium-low heat, add cream cheese, shredded cheese, and milk. Melt and combine completely.
• Incorporate cheese sauce to meat mixture. Cook for additional 2-3 minutes.
• Serve warm as a dip, or if you want to crank it up, smother on top of a burrito for oven style goodness. Enjoy!
