  • 1/2 batch [chocolate cupcake recipe],  prepared and cooled
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 Tbsp caramel sauce (I use caramel ice cream topping)
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Heath toffee bits
  • 2 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
  • caramel sauce, for garnish

Directions

  • Prepare and cool chocolate cupcakes according to [directions]. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, 3 Tbsp caramel sauce, milk and powdered sugar on medium high speed for about 4 minutes, until light and fluffy. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes. Top immediately with toffee bits and mini chocolate chips. Add a drizzle of caramel if desired.
