Christmas peppermint hot chocolate

  • 5 oz Bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 qt Whole milk

  • 1/3 cup Water, HOT

Ingredients

• 1 TBS cocoa powder
• 1/3 cup hot water
• 5 oz. bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped
• 1 quart whole milk (4 cups)
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 7 candy canes finely crushed. I crush mine in the food processor

Directions

• Mix the cocoa with the hot water to make a thin paste. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. If the chocolate does not melt after the first hour turn the slow cooker on high for the last hour stirring every 30 minutes. Serve with marshmallows drizzled with chocolate syrup.
