DIY Essential Oil Shampoo

• Canned Goods

  • 1/2 cup Coconut milk, canned

• Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 tsp Carrier oil
  • 5 drops Carrot seed oil and red raspberry seed oils [optional
  • 25 drops Essential oils

• Other

  • 1 tablespoon fresh frozen aloe or aloe vera gel
  • 1 cup Dr. bronner's liquid castile soap

Ingredients

• 1 cup Dr. Bronners Liquid Castile Soap
• ½ cup canned coconut milk (We like Thrive Market to get a discount)
• 1 tablespoon fresh frozen aloe or aloe vera gel
• 1 teaspoon carrier oil
• 25 drops essential oils
• 5 drops each carrot seed oil and red raspberry seed oils [optional for color-treated hair]
• 1 cup distilled water
• 2 teaspoons guar gum (a natural thickener often used in cosmetics)
• 1 teaspoon *carrier oil
• 1 tablespoon fresh frozen aloe or aloe vera gel
• 25 drops of essential oils*
• 5 drops each carrot seed oil and red raspberry seed oils [optional for color-treated hair]

Directions

• Blend well using an immersion blender, or by shaking vigerously in a glass jar.
• Store in an 16-ounce glass pump bottle for easy dispensing.
• Lavender, Lemon, Tea Tree, and Rose are all great oils for hair care. Peppermint and rosemary are great to stimulate hair growth. Mix and match as desired!
• In a glass jar mix the carrier oil, guar gum, and essential oils. Then add distilled water and shake well. Store in a glass pump bottle for easy dispensing.
• Rosemary and sage essential oils are good for all hair types, so consider one of these as a base. Then add either: Lemon, bergamot, or tea tree essential oils for oily hair, OR Lavender, sandalwood or geranium essential oils for dry hair or those who suffer from dandruff.
