    • 6 oz Sashimi grade ahi tuna, fresh raw
  • Produce

    • 2 Avocados, ripe
    • 1 tbsp Chives
    • 1 tsp Ginger
    • 1/2 Lemon, Juice and zest of small
    • 1/2 Lime, Juice and zest of small
  • Condiments

    • 1/2 tbsp Aji mirin
    • 2 tsp Honey
    • 2 tbsp Mayo
    • 1/2 tbsp Ponzu sauce
    • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp Sriracha
  • Baking & Spices

    • 1/8 tsp Black pepper
    • 1 tsp Sesame seeds, Black and White
  • Oils & Vinegars

    • 1/2 tbsp Sesame oil

Ingredients

  • 6 oz fresh, raw sashimi grade ahi tuna
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp Ponzu sauce
  • ½ tbsp aji mirin
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • Juice and zest of ½ small lime
  • Juice and zest of ½ small lemon
  • 2 ripe avocados, halved
  • 1 tsp black and white sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tbsp sriracha

Directions

  • Rinse the ahi tuna under cold water and dry off completely. Dice tuna and transfer to a medium glass mixing bowl.
  • In a separate small mixing bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, Ponzu sauce, aji mirin, freshly grated ginger, honey, black pepper, juice and zest of lime, and juice and zest of lemon. Mix well and pour into bowl with tuna. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to marinade.
  • Prepare the spicy mayo by mixing together the mayo and sriracha. Add more or less sriracha depending on your spice preference.
  • Remove from fridge and spoon fresh poke into each avocado half. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives and enjoy!
