Homemade Pizza Sauce

  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano, dried

  • 1 can (5.5oz, 156ml tomato paste

  • 2 tsp Granulated sugar

• Oils & Vinegars

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

• Dairy

  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese

Ingredients

• 1 can (28oz, 796mL) diced tomatoes
• 1 can (5.5oz, 156mL) tomato paste
• 2 tablespoons (30mL) olive oil
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese
• 2 teaspoons (0.3oz, 8.5g) granulated sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

• Combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Refrigerate in a sealed container for at least one hour to allow the flavours to meld - although I’ve used it immediately and it’s still good, so feel free if you’re in a hurry! This pizza sauce keeps well in the refrigerator for up to one week or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
