Ingredients

• 1 (16 ounce) package of Nutter Butter Cookies
• 4 cups Special K cereal
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup Karo syrup
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 Tablespoons milk
• 3-4 cups powdered sugar

Directions

• Blend the nutter butter cookies in a food processor until they are all small crumbs. In a big bowl combine the cookie crumbs and cereal.
• In a sauce pan melt the butter. Add in the Karo syrup and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add in the peanut butter and vanilla. Stir well.
• Pour over the cookie/cereal mixture in the big bowl and mix in until blended.
• Press into a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Let cool.
• For frosting, blend the softened butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, milk, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. If the frosting is too thin add more powdered sugar. If its too thick add a little more milk.
• Spread the frosting over the cooled bars.
• Slice and serve.
