The Best Decorated Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

• 6 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 Tsp vanilla extract
• 3 1/3 cup all purpose flour

Directions

• Combine first four ingredients completely in a large bowl. Add flour to cream cheese mixture and stir until the dough forms a ball. Knead the mixture in the bowl for a couple of minutes until pliable and no longer sticky. Add additional flour, if needed. Work with dough on floured surface. Roll out or press dough until 1/4 inch thick. Cut out with cookie cutters or knife. Bake at 350F, until cookie edges are lightly browned. For thicker cookies, bake approximately 15-22 minutes and 10-15 minutes for thinner cookies. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes and then cool completely on baking rack. Decorate with homemade or store-bought frosting once cookies are completely cooled.
