The Creamiest Vegan Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

• 1 cup canned coconut milk (can use any type of milk, but I find this to be the creamiest)
• 1 Tbsp chocolate chips (I used dark)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 Tbsp cacao powder (can use cocoa powder instead)
• 3 Tbsp water
• 1 tsp maca (optional)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp sea salt
• 1 Tbsp sweetener (optional, I omitted)
• Optional: ¼ tsp ginger, ¼ tsp cayenne, or ¼ tsp peppermint extract

Directions

• Whisk coconut milk, chocolate chips, and vanilla in in a pot on the stove until simmering.
• In a separate bowl, whisk together water and cacao powder. Add maca, if using, cinnamon and sea salt. Add any sweetener or optional flavors at this time.
• Add both mixtures into a blender cup.
• Blend for a few seconds until frothy and pour into a mug.
• Top with marshallows and enjoy!
