Ingredients

  • 1½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • Dash of sea salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted

Directions

  • Heat up your waffle iron.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add your spices, flour, baking powder, and sugar. Mix well to get rid of clumps. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Once the waffle iron is ready, spray with cooking spray to ensure it doesnt stick, and spoon on two-three heaping tbsp of the batter. Spread out evenly and cook for three-four minutes, until crispy.
  • Once crispy, remove and repeat until the batter is gone.
  • Serves: 4-6 large waffles
