Basic Spritz Cookies

  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 4 cup Flour
  • 1 Food coloring
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Ingredients

• 1½ C butter (3 sticks)
• 1 C granulated sugar
• ½ tsp almond extract
• 1 egg
• 2 Tbsp milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 4 C flour (all purpose)
• 1 tsp baking powder
• food coloring

Directions

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees
• Thoroughly cream butter and sugar
• Add egg, milk, vanilla, and almond extract ~ beat well
• Stir together flour and baking powder and gradually add to creamed mixture
• Mix all ingredients together until it forms a smooth dough ~ DO NOT CHILL!
• Add desired food coloring to dough (if desired)
• Place dough into cookie press and press cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet
• Bake 6-8 minutes
