Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup plain natural yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix for 10-30 seconds. Add more honey if you like your smoothie sweeter.

I just got back from the gym and I would like to tell you about my incredible records, of a long strenuous workout consisting of several exercises such as  ballistic swimmers stretch (!?, back extensions, abs, squats… and above all fast and long runs. Of all the activities I can do in the gym, running  jogging  is my favorite. Unfortunately I don’t enjoy running as much as I love the idea of running. I tried with any kind of music in my headphones, just to get distracted, to run pretending that I’m not running but neither the jazz of Nina Simone nor the rock of Guns ‘N Roses worked for me. I get bored: the time on the treadmill is the slowest time ever. So, yeah, I would like to tell about inspirational workout sessions but I can only divulge a story of an unremarkable and middling 10 mins run at 8 km/hr (don’t laugh at me, I can see you plus 10 minute rowing  I get through just because the rowing machine is placed in a room that’s usually empty, allowing me to close the eyes and dream of being on a boat along the Seine.
