Ingredients

• 1/2 cup coconut flour
• 1/2 cup tapioca flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• Pinch fine sea salt
• 5 organic eggs
• 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
• 1/3 cup + 2 teaspoons raw honey
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
• 1/3 cup homemade caramel
• Additional homemade caramel for serving/drizzle

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350 Grease 8 inch round pan Slice apples and lay them in the bottom of the baking pan Heat caramel   if it isnt already hot and pour evenly over apples In a large bowl combine dry ingredients (sift if flour has clumps) Add in wet ingredients and whisk together Pour cake batter into cake pan on top of the apple mixture Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean Once cooled completely, carefully flip the cake pan upside down onto a serving dish
