Chocolate Cherry Chunk Cookies

  • 1 cup Chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions

• Beat the butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir in the cake mix and mix well. Add the cream cheese and beat until creamy. Stir in the chocolate chunks and cherries by hand.
• Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes. The dough will be very sticky from the cherries. Roll the dough into 36 cookie balls. Place on un-greased baking sheet or a Silpat. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. The cookies will be very soft, but do not over bake them. Cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes. Remove the cookies to a sheet of wax paper and cool completely. Tap the tops of the cookies with the back of a spatula to even out the tops. The cookies will set up after cooling. Store in a loosely sealed container for 4-5 days. Makes 36 cookies.
