Crock Pot Honey Teriyaki Chicken Meatballs

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground chicken
• 3/4 cup bread crumbs
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 cup chicken broth
• 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
• 1/4 cup honey
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
• 2 tablespoons corn starch

Directions

• Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
• In a medium sized bowl, combine the ground chicken, bread crumbs, egg, and garlic powder. Use a spoon or your hands to make sure all the ingredients are combined.
• Roll into 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch meatballs.  This makes about 24 meatballs.  Place the meatballs on a cookie sheet.
• Bake for 4 minutes, then take out to flip the meatballs. Then bake for another 4 minutes.  The meatballs will be browned but not completely done.  They will finish cooking in the crock pot.
• Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine the chicken broth, teriyaki sauce, honey, minced garlic, and sesame seeds.  
• Once the meatballs are ready place them in the crock pot.  Then pour the honey teriyaki sauce over them and stir to make sure the meatballs are mostly covered.
• Cook for 1-2 hours on high or 2-3 hours on low.  About 15 minutes before you are ready to serve add the corn starch to the sauce to thicken and stir to combine.  Continue to cook until the sauce thickens.  Garnish the meatballs with the additional sesame seeds.
