Ingredients

  • ½ cup organic raw cacao (or regular unsweetened baking cocoa powder)
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot starch
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • 2 cups full-fat canned coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ounces roughly chopped dark chocolate (or bittersweet/semi-sweet chocolate chips)

Directions

  • Add the raw cacao, coconut sugar, arrowroot and sea salt to the Crock-Pot®. Whisk well to combine.
  • Add the almond milk, coconut milk and vanilla extract. Whisk again to combine.
  • Add in the dark chocolate. Stir well to combine.
  • Place the lid on the Crock-Pot® and set to high for 1 hour and 30 minutes and cook until hot. Leave the lid on while cooking.
  • Just before serving give it a good stir to mix in the melted chocolate and to make it silky and smooth. Set the Crock-Pot® to warm and keep the lid on when not serving.
  • Ladle the Hot Chocolate into mugs and top with your preferred toppings. Enjoy.
