Ingredients

• 16 oz pkg. frozen peas
• 1 c water chestnuts, drained and cut into smaller pieces
• 1/2 c green onions, chopped (more can be added to your taste)
• 1 c cubed american cheese
• 3/4 c hellmans mayonnaise
• 1/4 c sour cream
• 3 slice crisp bacon, crumbled (optional)
• salt and pepper to taste

Directions

• 1Combine the peas, water chestnuts, cheese, and green onions together in large bowl. Mix the mayonnaise and sour cream well (can add a little more sour cream; use your own judgment). Mix this mixture with the peas, water chestnuts, cheese and green onions. Add salt and pepper. Either sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top or mix in with the salad. 2This is best if chilled several hours before serving. ENJOY!
