Dragon Fruit Banana Sherbet…and a Giveaway

  • 3 Baby or thai bananas
  • 1 Dragon fruit, red
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger, ground
  • 1 tbsp Lemon, zest

• Condiments

  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice, fresh

  • 1 cup Sugar

• Dairy

  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream

  • 1 cup Water

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon lemon zest
• 1 red dragon fruit, peeled and chopped
• 3 baby or Thai bananas
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

• Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally until all sugar is incorporated, making a simple syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
• In a blender or food processor, puree remaining ingredients until smooth, then pour in the simple syrup. Continue to puree for 20-30 seconds until very smooth.
• Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturers instructions for freezing.
• Serve and enjoy!
