Earl Grey Spritzer

  • 2 1/2 tsp Loose leaf earl grey tea or 2 tea bags

  • 2 tbsp Earl grey simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Honey

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons earl grey simple syrup (see recipe below)
• 1 teaspoon fresh orange juice
• Cava, very cold
• Earl Grey Simple Syrup:
• ½ cup water
• 2½ teaspoons loose leaf earl grey tea or 2 tea bags
• ½ cup honey

Directions

• In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add earl grey and allow to steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Strain out the tea leaves (or remove tea bags) and return water to saucepan. Return to medium heat and add honey, stirring occasionally until dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
• To assemble spritzer, add 2 tablespoons of earl grey simple syrup to a champagne flute. Add orange juice and top with Cava.
