Easy & Flawless Royal Icing

  • 4 cups Confectioners' sugar
  • 4 tbsp Meringue
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract, pure

• Liquids

  • 1/3 cup Water

Description

Ingredients

• 4 cups Confectioners Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
• 4 Tablespoons Meringue Powder (or substitute powdered egg whites)
• pinch of salt
• ⅓ cup water
• ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract (or any flavoring extract of choice)

Directions

• Place the powdered sugar, meringue powder (or powdered egg whites) and the pinch of salt in the mixer bowl of your stand mixer.
• Fit your mixer with a paddle attachment.(In my video tutorial I am using a beater blade that has silicone blades which scrape the bowl for me).
• Mix on low speed until combined.
• With the mixer on low, Slowly add the water then add the vanilla.
• Turn your mixer on medium-low speed and mix for 6 minutes. If you dont having a scraping beater blade Scrape the bowl intermintently,
• Immediately cover icing to the surface with plastic wrap in an air tight container. The icing will keep for up to 12 days in the refrigerator.
• *The icing can be thinned to any consistency with water, and colored with gel food coloring.
