Easy Cornbread Dressing

  • 2 tsp Poultry seasoning

  • 2 cups Celery
  • 2 cups Onion

  • 4 1/2 cups Chicken broth

  • 2 packages Cornbread stuffing mix

Ingredients

• ½ cup butter
• 2 cups chopped onion
• 2 cups chopped celery
• ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
• 2 packages cornbread stuffing mix (I use Pepperidge Farm)
• 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
• 2 teaspoons dried sage
• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
• 4½ cups chicken broth, or as needed

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
• Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
• Add the chopped celery and onion into the skillet and cook until slightly soft, approximately 5 minutes.
• Empty the bag of the cornbread stuffing mix into a large bowl.
• Pour the vegetable mixture over cornbread mixture.
• Add the chicken broth and mix well. Add additional broth if necessary to get the necessary moistness.
• Add salt, pepper, sage, and poultry seasoning.
• Pour mixture into a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven until dressing is heated through, about 30 minutes.
