  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the green beans and mushrooms. Turn green beans and mushrooms in the butter to coat them.
  • Cook green beans and mushrooms, stirring occasionally until desired tenderness -- about 5 minutes for crispy green beans and 10-14 minutes for softer green beans. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and serve.
