Easy Red Wine Hot Chocolate

  • 1 Dark chocolate sauce

  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 Cinnamon stick - optional
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa - optional, Dark
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 Whipped cream

  • 1 Candy cane

• Beer, Wine & Liquor

  • 1 1/2 cups Cabernet sauvignon - use any red wine

Ingredients

• 3 Cups Milk - Im using 1 %
• 1.5 Cups Cabernet Sauvignon - use any red wine of choice
• 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
• 1 Tbsp Dark Cocoa - optional
• 1 Cinnamon Stick - optional
• Pinch of Salt
• Whipped Cream
• Crushed Candy Cane
• Dark Chocolate Sauce

Directions

• In a large pot, add milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, salt and cinnamon stick.
• Heat this mixture over medium flames till the chocolate chips completely dissolve in the milk. (Keep stirring constantly to prevent milk from sticking to the bottom)
• Add the red wine, stir and lower the heat.
• Let this mixture simmer for 10 minutes (stir every minute).
• Turn off the heat and remove the mix from stove.
• Remove the Cinnamon Stick.
• Pour the Red Wine Hot Chocolate into 4 mugs.
• Decorate with Whipped Cream, Candy Cane and Chocolate Sauce.
• Serve Hot or Warm as per choice.
