Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup all natural almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey or pure maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup vegan (or regular) chocolate chips plus 2 tablespoons
  • sea salt, for sprinkling

Directions

  • Drain, rinse and dry chickpeas, add all ingredients except chocolate chips and sea salt to blender. Blend all ingredients except chocolate chips and sea salt for sprinkling in blender until smooth, then either hand mix or pulse chocolate chips until mixed in. Spread in 8 x 8 pan, sprinkle with sea salt and 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Bake for 25 minutes.Serving Size: 16 pieces
