Description

Ingredients

• premade uncooked shortcrust pie crust + an extra sheet of shortcrust pastry
• 1 cup golden syrup
• grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
• 2¼ cups fine fresh breadcrumbs

Directions

• Preheat oven to 395F/190C.
• In a medium saucepan, warm up the golden syrup until its runny.
• Add the bread crumbs, lemon zest and lemon juice, and stir it all together.
• Pour it into the pie crust.
• Cut the dough into long strips for the lattice top.
• Place onto the top of the pie and cut the excess off.
• Bake for 35 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
