Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flat Iron Steak Or Skirt Steak, cut into small bite size pieces (Used Grass Fed Beef)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Large Carrot, thinly sliced
  • 6-8 pieces mushroom, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • Ground black pepper for seasoning
  • Scallions for topping
  • Sesame Seeds for topping
  • For Marinade:
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 1 Large Orange (Used Cara Cara Orange)
  • 1 Tablespoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Sesame Oil

Directions

  • Marinate the beef with the marinade ingredients. Marinate in the fridge for at least 45 minutes or longer.
  • Turn stove on to medium heat. Add 1/2 tablespoon of the oil to the pan. Add the garlic, onions and saute for approximately 3 to 4 minutes. Add ginger and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add another ½ tablespoon of the oil to the pan. Add the carrots, mushrooms, stir to coat the carrots and mushrooms with the oil. Saute for approximately 4 minutes. Move the sauteed veggies to one side of the pan. Turn stove up to medium to high heat. Add the marinated meat to one side of the pan. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until meat is fully cooked. Add ground black pepper to taste. Stir all ingredients in the pan together. Turn off heat. Serve over steamed rice. Top this dish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
