This healthier caramel sauce is incredibly easy to make! It will last for at least one week, if not closer to two, if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (190g) fresh pitted medjool dates (about 10)
  • ¾ cup + 2 tbsp (210mL) water

Directions

  • Add the dates and ¼ cup of water to a high-powered blender or food processor. Blend until fully combined. Gradually add more water, 2 tablespoons at a time, until the sauce is smooth and reaches the consistency of honey. Transfer to an airtight container, and chill until ready to use.
  • Serves: 1 cup + 7 tablespoons
