  • 3 carrots
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp of sea salt
  • water
  • glass jar for storage (find them here)
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cabbage leaf

Directions

  • Wash and peel 3 medium sized carrots.
  • Cut them into whatever shape you choose. I prefer sticks.
  • Add garlic and dill (optional.) I use 3-4 cloves of garlic.
  • Place the carrots, dill and garlic in a jar and add water nearly to the top of the jar.
  • Add the salt and the place the lid on and shake the jar until the salt is dissolved.
  • Now remove the lid and add the cabbage leaf to the top of the carrots in the jar. Fit it in above the carrots in a way to keep the carrots submerged in water. The fermentation has to occur in an anaerobic (no air) environment.
