  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (dark is best if you have it on hand)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a cookie sheet with parchment or a non-stick baking mat. (You can use foil as long as you spray with non-stick cooking spray).
  • Over medium-high heat, melt the butter in a medium saucepan or skillet.
  • Add the brown sugar and maple syrup. Stir until bubbling in the middle of the pot. Turn off the heat, but do not remove pot.
  • Add the pecans and stir until all pecans are coated well. Spread pecans on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for at least 10 minutes before eating.
  • Allow pecans to reach room temperature before storing or packaging.
  • Serves: 2 cups
