Peanut Butter Bacon Burger

Description

Ingredients

• 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tsp kosher salt
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp granulated garlic
• ½ tsp cayenne
• ½ tsp black pepper (or to your taste)
• ½ lb. bacon
• 4 hamburger buns
• ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Directions

• Mix together the beef, olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic, cayenne, and pepper until well combined; set aside.
• Heat a cast iron pan to medium-high heat and cook the bacon until crisp. Let the bacon cool on a paper towel lined plate to cool enough to chop. Chop into ½ inch pieces (or whichever size you prefer). Drain all but 1 tbsp of bacon grease from the pan. Reserve the rendered bacon fat for another use.
• Divide the beef into 4 patties. Cook the patties 2 at time over high heat until you’ve reached your desired temperature.
• Serve the burgers on buns with the peanut butter and bacon divided among the burgers.
