    • 1 lb Shrimp, medium
  • Produce

    • 1 lb Broccoli, fresh
    • 2 cloves Garlic
    • 1 Onion
    • 3 Scallions
  • Condiments

    • 1/3 cup Honey
    • 2 tbsp Ketchup
    • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • Baking & Spices

    • 2 tsp Arrowroot powder
    • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
    • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • Oils & Vinegars

    • 2 tbsp Olive oil

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, frozen and thawed out
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli, chopped into small florets
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, I used low sodium, gluten free
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2-3 tsp arrowroot powder, or cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 scallions, chopped, optional

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, and pepper flakes if using. In a non stick pan add oil and onion and cook until translucent 3-5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook further for another minute or so. Add the shrimp and the broccoli and cook for another 1-2 minutes just until warmed through. Add the sauce and corn starch dissolved in water. (I like the broccoli on the crunchy side but you can cook it a bit more if you like). Stir to combine until sauce has thickened to your liking. I like the sauce rather thick so I use 2-3 teaspoons of cornstarch. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions and serve over brown rice. Adapted from here
