Simple Cheeseburger Soup Made With Hashbrowns

• Meat

  • 1 1/2 lb Ground meat

• Produce

  • 1 1/4 cup Carrots
  • 1 cup Celery
  • 2 Onions, large
  • 2 tbsp Parsley flakes

• Canned Goods

  • 28 oz Chicken broth

• Baking & Spices

  • 1 pkg Cheese mix that came, dry

• Dairy

  • 12 oz American cheese

• Other

  • 28-32 oz. frozen hashbrowns

Ingredients

• 1½ pound ground meat - cooked ( I use ground turkey)
• 28-32 oz. frozen hashbrowns
• 2 large onions chopped (could use onion flakes too)
• 1 cup diced celery
• 1¼ cup shredded carrots
• 2 TBSP parsley flakes
• 28 oz chicken broth (I use low sodium)
• 12 oz American Cheese
• 1 pkg of dry cheese mix that came in a boxed macaroni & cheese (optional - it adds a little extra flavor and some coloring)

Directions

• Place meat, veggies, and parsley into a large pot on stove.
• Cover ingredients with chicken broth (if broth doesnt cover all the ingredients, add water until just covered)
• Cook on medium until veggies are tender when poked with a fork.
• Stir in American Cheese and dry cheese packet.
• Allow cheese to melt thoroughly.
• Serve immediately.
