Ingredients

  • 1¼ pounds baby or petite carrots
  • ½ teaspoon Boyajian Pure Orange Oil
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon fresh marjoram
  • ½ teaspoon fresh tarragon
  • ½ teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)

Directions

  • Bring an inch of water to a boil in a saucepan, and then add the carrots.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 6 minutes or until the carrots are crisp-tender.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the other ingredients in a skillet over a medium heat, stirring frequently.
  • Stir in the carrots. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until carrots are glazed and coated with the sugar mixture.
  • Sprinkle with fresh herbs and the parsley if liked, salt is optional and a personal choice.
