Super Easy Chocolate Cream Puffs

  • 4 Eggs

  • 5 3/4 oz Chocolate pudding mix, instant
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 Powdered sugar

• Dairy

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Sour cream

• Liquids

  • 1 cup Water

Description

Ingredients

• 1/2 c (1 stick) of butter
• 1 cup of water
• 3/4 c flour
• 2 tbsp granulated sugar
• 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• 4 eggs
• 5.85 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
• 1 1/2 c cold milk
• powdered sugar for dusting
• 1 c sour cream

Directions

• preheat oven to 375 degrees
• in a med bowl combine flour, sugar and cocoa powder
• melt butter over med heat in a med saucepan
• add water and bring to a rolling boil
• stir in the flour mixture and continue to stir
• dough will become a ball but keep stirring over heat for 1 min
• pour dough into the large bowl of a mixer
• turn on the mixer and beat for 2-3 min on medium speed and allowing dough to cool slightly
• add eggs one at a time as you continue to beat dough
• dough will become creamy and smooth
• line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop dough onto baking sheet by the tablespoonful 1 inch apart
• bake for 20 minutes
• allow to cool
• in a large bowl whisk together pudding mix and milk until smooth
• whisk in the sour cream until smooth
• place in the refrigerator for 1 hour
• *there are two methods
• Method 1
• slice puffs in half and fill with pudding
• dust the top with powdered sugar
• Method 2
• place pudding mixture into a pastry bag with a pointy tip
• stick the tip carefully into the puff and fill with pudding
• dust the top is powdered sugar
