1950’s Two-Ingredient Applesauce Squares

  • 2 cups Applesauce, sweetened or unsweetened

  • 2 packets Knox gelatin packs, unflavored

Ingredients

• 2 packets unflavored Knox gelatin packs
• 2 cups applesauce (sweetened or unsweetened)

Directions

• Heat applesauce over medium heat until it begins to boil, about 5 minutes.
• While heating applesauce, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water to bloom. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
• Once applesauce had begun to boil, remove from heat. Add gelatin and stir to dissolve.
• Pour into a 10-inch square pan lined with wax paper and refrigerate 2 hours.
