Delicious Dairy-free food for Busy people

Ingredients

  • 1 Sirloin or Rib-eye steak (approx 120-180 grams), trimmed of gristle and most fat.
  • Ponzu sauce - there is a great step by step guide for making it here
  • Finely diced spring onion
  • Grated daikon or other radish
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Watercress

Directions

  • Season the meat with salt only
  • In a pan on high heat, brown the meat on all sides
  • Remove from the pan and set aside while you prep the veggie.
  • For daikon, drain with a paper towel - it has a very high water content. We like to mix a bit of chili sauce in with ours (hence the red colour in the photos)
  • Using the sharpest knife you have, finely slice the beef into very thin strips.*
  • Arrange the meat on a plate, sprinkle with your preferred garnish and some ponzu sauce, and serve.
