Blueberry Basil Moscow Mule Cocktail

  • 1 Small handful Basil, fresh leaves
  • 1 Basil, sprig
  • 1 cup Blueberries, frozen or fresh
  • 1 Blueberries, fresh
  • 1 Lime, wedge

• Condiments

  • 1 Squeeze Lime juice, fresh
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup

• Drinks

  • 1 Ginger beer

• Frozen

  • 1 Ice

• Beer, Wine & Liquor

  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka

Ingredients

• 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
• 1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey or sugar if desired to sweeten
• Small handful of fresh basil leaves
• 1 1/2 ounces vodka
• ginger beer
• Squeeze of fresh lime juice
• crushed ice
• For garnish:
• Fresh blueberries
• Lime wedge
• Basil sprig

Directions

• Bring blueberries to boil with 1/4 cup of water and fresh basil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook about 6 minutes, or until blueberries have made a nice purple syrup. Mash blueberries against side of pan to release juices.Strain over a bowl.
• Add vodka, lime juice and ginger beer to a chilled copper mug. Add crushed ice. Pour some blueberry/basil juice on top. Give a quick mix. Serve with garnishes.
