Cherry Lemonade Donuts

  • 2/3 cup Lemonade concentrate

  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 Sanding sugar
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2/3 cup Greek yogurt, plain

• Desserts

  • 3/4 cup Maraschino cherries

Directions

• Cream the butter and sugars. Add the egg, vanilla, and yogurt and beat again.
• Sift together the baking powder, baking soda, and flour and add alternately with the lemonade concentrate. Gently stir in the cherries. Spoon the mixture into a plastic baggie and cut one tip off.
• Spray a donut pan with non stick spray. Fill the pans 1/2 way full with the donut batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 2-3 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
• Whisk together the powdered sugar and lemonade concentrate. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts in the glaze. Let the excess glaze drip off before setting back on the wire rack. Sprinkle with the sanding sugar. Let set. Store in a loosely sealed container on the counter or refrigerator. Makes 16-18 donuts.
