Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted dried dates
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 cup walnut or pecan halves, plus ⅓ cup finely chopped nuts for outer coating
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients in a food processor or high power blender. Blend until everything is chopped and it starts to form a ball. If it doesnt form a ball, add some water - about 1 teaspoon at a time- until it does.
  • Place the extra ⅓ cup finely chopped nuts in a small bowl.
  • Take the mixture out 1 heaping Tablespoon at a time, roll it into a ball with your hands. Roll the ball in the chopped nuts and set on a parchment paper lined baking sheet or in a container for storing. Continue until the mixture is all used.
  • Keep stored in the fridge for up to 2-4 weeks...if they last that long.
