Eggnog Snickerdoodle Cookies

  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 scant tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla

• Dairy

  • 3/4 cup Horizon organic butter

• Beer, Wine & Liquor

  • 1/2 cup Horizon organic eggnog

• 3/4 cup Horizon Organic Butter, softened
• 2/3 cup Sugar
• 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
• 2 Horizon Organic Eggs
• 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
• 1/2 cup Horizon Organic Eggnog
• 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
• 2 tsp. Baking Powder
• 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
• 1 scant tsp. Cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
• 1/2 cup Sugar
• 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars. Add eggs and mix well. Add vanilla and eggnog and mix again.
• In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
• Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
• In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar topping. One at a time, drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough into the cinnamon sugar and roll the dough ball until it is completely covered with the mixture.
• Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for 10-13 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden.
• Allow the snickerdoodles to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes.
