  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into strips
  • 1 packet soup base seasoning
  • 6 string beans, cut into strips
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion, cut into strips
  • 3 dried shiitake mushrooms, re-hydrated, cut into strips
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 packet soup base seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • ½ block kamaboko (fish cake), cut in strips, cross-wise
  • Noodles
  • 3 packages S&S frozen saimin
  • 1 packet soup base seasoning
  • 2 stalks green onions, cut in 2-inch pieces (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Directions

  • In a large skillet or wok add oil and cook spam on low heat until browned, then add garlic and ginger. Add carrots and saute for about 2 minutes.
  • Next, add 1 packet of soup base, string beans, celery, onions, mushrooms and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add shredded cabbage, sesame oil and fish cake. Turn off heat.
  • Cook S&S saimin noodles in boiling water for about 15 seconds and drain and rinse with cold water; drain again.
  • Mix together cooked saimin noodles with vegetables and add last packet of soup base if needed.
  • Top with green onions.
