Golden NO knead vegan bread. A beautiful loaf with a perfectly crusty outside and a soft inside packed with full of fall flavors including turmeric, cinnamon and cardamom. So easy anyone can do it!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ap flour
  • 1 - 1½ tsp turmeric (depending on your love for turmeric)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp instant yeast
  • 1⅓-1/2 cups lukewarm water

Directions

  • Add all your dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine.
  • Next add in your water and gently mixed until just combined. It will be somewhat sticky but all the flour should be absorbed.
  • Completely over with plastic wrap and place in a warm area in your house. Let rise for 12-24 hours depending on your schedule (I let mine rise for 15).
  • During the last 30 minutes of sitting time preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Using either a dutch oven or a medium/large soup pot (make sure it is oven safe and the handles/lid are metal and not plastic). Place in the oven to heat up for 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime lightly flour a large piece of parchment paper and scrape the dough (see picture, it should be nice and puffy now) onto the floured surface and shape into a roundish ball. Sprinkle the top with a little more flour. Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Once your pot/dutch oven is heated carefully remove from the oven.
  • Remove plastic wrap from your dough and use the parchment paper to lift the dough into your pot/dutch oven (the parchment paper goes in too).
  • Bake covered for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes (using an oven mit) take off the lid and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the top of the bread is golden/browned to your liking. Enjoy!
