Gram's Ice Cream Dessert

Ingredients

• 60 Ritz crackers
• 1 stick (1/2 c.) of butter
• 2 small boxes of vanilla instant pudding and pie filling (3.4 oz size boxes)
• 1½ c. milk,
• 1 quart of ice cream, softened
• 8 oz. Cool Whip

Directions

• Start by crushing up the Ritz crackers: place all the crackers in a large zipper bag and then use a rolling pin to break them up.
• Next place butter in a microwave safe dish, cover with a paper towel and microwave until melted, about 45 seconds.
• Combine the melted butter and the cracker crumbs in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Press the crackers down to form a crust.
• In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, combine the instant vanilla pudding and pie filling mix, the milk and the softened vanilla ice cream.
• Spread the mixture on top of the cracker crust.
• Finally, spread the Cool Whip on top of the ice cream mixture.
• Keep chilled in the fridge until ready to serve.
