Grandmas Baked Beans are seasoned with bacon, brown sugar, molasses, and ketchup to create this mouthwatering side dish!

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 4 strips bacon (preferably frozen)
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped celery
  • 1 (1lb 12oz) can baked beans
  • ⅛ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tbs molasses

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350F. Grease an 8x8 or 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
  • Heat a saute pan over medium heat. Cut bacon into small pieces (this is easier done when the bacon is frozen). Add bacon to the saute pan and allow to cook 1-2 minutes. Add in onion and celery and continue cooking until bacon is beginning to become crispy. Drain fat and set aside.
  • In the prepared baking dish, combine baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, and reserved bacon, onion and celery. Stir to combine. Place in the preheated oven for 45 minutes and serve warm.
