    • 8 oz Lump crab meat

    • 1 Bell pepper, small
    • 1 large stalk Celery, small
    • 1 tbsp Celery, fresh leaves
    • 4 Full cups red or white potatoes
    • 2 cloves Garlic
    • 1/2 cup White onions
  • Canned Goods

    • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • Baking & Spices

    • 4 tbsp All-purpose flour
    • 1 Salt
    • 1/3 tsp White pepper
  • Dairy

    • 4 tbsp Butter, unsalted
    • 3 cups Milk

    • 1 pound large shrimp cleaned and chopped in half

Description

A hot bowl of seafood chowder with all the flavors of green chiles, tender crab meat and perfectly cooked shrimp, and youre set for the night!

Directions

  • Place washed and cubed potatoes in a bowl covered with water and reserve.
  • In a deep skillet at medium heat, melt butter. Add onion, garlic, celery and bell pepper. Season lightly with salt and pepper and sauté for 6-8 minutes.
  • Add smoked sausage and sauté for 2 minutes. Sprinkle in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Whisk in milk and chicken broth. Add green chiles and potatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.
  • Stir in shrimp and cook for just 2 minutes. Add in lump crab meat. Stir to combine. Cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 5 minutes. Serve with saltine crackers and hot sauce.
