The perfect combination of salty and sweet, this no bake Hanukkah Haystacks holiday treat recipe is made with chow mein noodles and cocktail peanuts coated with melted chocolate candy. its enough to satisfy even the most demanding the sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup cocktail peanuts
  • 12 oz bag Wilton royal blue chocolate melts
  • 1/4 cup Wilton bright white chocolate melts
  • 1/4 cup Wilton blue chocolate melts
  • Blue sprinkle jimmies
  • White pearl sprinkles
  • Silver pearl sprinkles

Directions

  • Line a large baking pan with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Add the noodles and peanuts to a medium bowl and gently toss to mix. Set aside. In a double boiler, melt the royal blue chocolate melts over low/medium heat, stirring occasionally. (This process usually takes 4-5 minutes). Remove from heat and cool for 2-3 minutes. Pour the melted chocolate on top of the peanut/noodle mixture and gently toss to coat with a rubber spatula. Using a Tablespoon or cookie scoop, transfer the mixture onto the lined baking pan, in the shape of haystacks. Immediately, sprinkle the white pearls on each haystack before the chocolate hardens. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the white chocolate melts for 45 seconds. Stir until melted and smooth. Let cool for 2 minutes. Drizzle the white chocolate on top of each haystack. Sprinkle blue jimmies on top of the white chocolate. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the light blue chocolate melts for 45 seconds. Stir until melted and smooth. Let cool for 2 minutes. Drizzle the light blue chocolate on top of each haystack. Sprinkle the silver balls on top. Chill for 20 minutes to allow all of the chocolates to harden. ENJOY!!
